Folic Acid for Cosmetics from DSM Nutritional Products

2008-04-10 | 11:22

All the topical benefits of folic acid in an easy to use format

Folic acid has well-established properties: It stimulates cell proliferation, modulates DNA repair and protects cells during UV exposure. Traditionally, folic acid has not been used in cosmetic products very often, mainly due to difficulties to formulate it properly. But now, DSM Nutritional Products has developed methods and guidelines to overcome those issues and to offer to the customers all topical benefits of folic acid.

Also on display at In-Cosmetics is a new form of vitamin A palmitate that is protected with dl-alpha-tocopherol and the carrier is natural medium chain triglycerides (INCI: Caprylic/capric triglycerides). This new product quality is easy to handle (liquid) and guarantees that the formulation is GMO-free and peanut-free, to reduce the potential risk of allergic reactions related to this ingredient.
