HallStar Sponsors New Annual SCC Award

A new award for outstanding work in sunscreen and related research.

The HallStar Company, a Chicago-based specialty chemistry company, announced The HallStar Award a new, annual Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) award for outstanding work in sunscreen and related research.

The $2000 award will recognize the best scientific paper in the fields of sunscreen science, UV protection or photoaging presented at the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) Annual Scientific Seminar. The next Annual Scientific Seminar will be held on June 4 and 5 at the Chicago Hilton. The award will be presented at the 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting and Technology Showcase in New York City.

To present at the SCC 2009 Annual Scientific Seminar, the deadline for abstracts is September 15, 2008.  For information about the 2009 seminar and abstract submission forms, visit www.SCConline.org
