In a speech made during its 120th celebration, Zhang Dongfang, chairman and CEO of Shanghai Jahwa United Co., Ltd., discussed the company’s past, present and future. According to Dongfang, Shanghai Jahwa has invested nearly 3% of its annual turnover in R&D. “Major technological breakthroughs have been made at the technical level: skin barrier repair, freeze-dried powder and preservative-free products,” she told those on hand at a grand ceremony held inside the Wuzhen Internet International Exhibition Center. Among the company’s plans for this milestone year are the relaunch of Shanghai Vive, a brand that has been available since 1898; new launches from Dr. Yu, Maxam and Herborist; increasing brand awareness for GF, its men’s line; and the development of a new air-conditioning sterilization cleaning series and ultra-concentrated enzyme laundry beads under the Home Aegis business.
