Helen of Troy’s Julien Mininberg and Maureen Usifer of Seventh Generation join boards at the Roomba maker and CBD company, respectively.

iRobot’s Roomba and a CBD tincture from Charlotte’s Web.
Industry experts from leading brands in beauty and home care have landed board positions at new companies.
Julien Mininberg, former chief executive officer of Helen of Troy, has joined the board of directors of iRobot Corp., the maker of the Roomba robot vacuum.
Mininberg retired from Helen of Troy earlier this year. To his new post, he brings a wealth of global consumer product experience in areas including sales, marketing, retail, finance, mergers and acquisitions, organizational restructuring, strategic planning and corporate turnarounds, according to iRobot.
Mininberg served as CEO at Helen of Troy for a decade. He previously served as president and CEO of Kaz, which was acquired by Helen of Troy, and prior to that, he spent 15 years at Procter & Gamble, where he held various roles in general management and marketing. His public company board experience includes ten years on the board of directors at Helen of Troy and two years on the board of directors at SpartanNash. In addition, Mininberg is a senior advisor to the private equity firm L Catterton and serves on the board of advisors for Yale School of Management.
“iRobot is a pioneer in the consumer robot space, and I am thrilled to begin working with a board of directors and leadership team that represent such an iconic brand,” said Mininberg. “I am excited to leverage my past experiences and consumer-focused leadership style as the company sets itself up for its next chapter and pursues many of the opportunities for profitable growth that lie ahead.”
Earlier this year, Amazon called off its planned acquisition of iRobot, as reported by Happi.
Maureen Usifer has been appointed to the board of directors at Charlotte’s Web Holdings, Inc., the publicly traded CBD company that sells tinctures, ingestibles and topical products.
Usifer has worked within the consumer products industry for more than 30 years and held leadership positions for more than 20 years, including as CFO of Seventh Generation Inc. from 2012 to 2016. From 1996 to 2012, she served in various roles at Church & Dwight, including VP of investor relations, senior finance director, divisional CFO and controller.
