ZeaBasics botanical extracts made with Zemea Propanediol.

DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products Company (Booth 1451) has teamed up with Bio-Botanica Inc. (Booth 911) to create a new line of botanical extracts called ZeaBasics. These products, manufactured by Bio-Botanica Inc., feature the proprietary ingredient Zemea propanediol.

According to the company, Zemea is a natural ingredient made from corn sugar through fermentation and developed for use in the cosmetics and personal care market. It is a high-performance, environmentally sustainable alternative to petroleum-based glycols and glycerin.

Zemea is approved as a natural ingredient by Ecocert, Natrue and the Natural Products Association; is certified 100% biobased by the US Department of Agriculture and has both Kosher and Halal certifications.

Bio-Botanica Inc. utilizes its proprietary Bio-Chelated process to manufacture the botanical extracts and combines them with Zemea for natural personal care and cosmetic applications. ZeaBasics combines 40 years of botanical extract manufacturing experience from Bio-Botanica with the new technology of Zemea.
