Divina Salon Solutions has introduced Purf Pool & Surf Shampoo and Moisturizing Conditioner, Prop 65 compliant hair care products designed to help protect, repair and revitalize hair that has been damaged by minerals and chemical buildup from swimming in chlorinated pools or salt water.
 
Hair that is exposed to pool and salt water can load up with unwanted minerals, salt and chemicals that block natural oils from moisturizing and protecting the hair shaft and dry hair out, affecting its health, look and feel. Hair becomes frizzier, visibly dull and can even become discolored.
 
Purf Pool & Surf’s Shampoo’s base formula is a professional clarifying and chelating shampoo, commonly used to remove the build-up of styling products, deep dirt and minerals, prior to getting a salon service.

To help repair damaged hair, Purf enhanced the formula with Keratin, ProVitamin B5 (a/k/a  Panthenol DL) and Aloe Vera. Keratin proteins make up 65-95% of your hair and protect the cuticle and interior structure in the cortex. These protein agents can be adversely affected and even destroyed by heat, chemicals, salt and environmental factors. It is important to add back keratin to help the hair repair itself. ProVitamin B5 helps prevent moisture loss and smooth the cuticle of each strand. Purf also added Aloe Vera juice, a natural protectant and hydrator that contains proteolytic enzymes, which repair dead skin cells on the scalp and act as great moisturizing conditioner for the hair.

Purf’s chemist also added Rosemary and Papaya extracts. These essential oils restore hair strength, elasticity and regrowth.
