Seaweed Bath Co. has acquired natural skincare brand Andalou Naturals and natural cosmetics brand Mineral Fusion from BWX Ltd, an Australian conglomerate.
Natureza Growth Partners, a consumer growth equity firm, helmed Seaweed Bath Co.’s financing.
The total revenue of all three brands is reportedly estimated to be up to $50 million.
BWX acquired Mineral Fusion for a reported $38.4 million in 2017. At that time, Mineral Fusion had roughly $24 million in sales. That year, it acquired Andalou Naturals.
As HAPPI previously reported, Seaweed Bath Co was founded by husband-and-wife team Allison and Adam Grossman in 2010 and prompted by Adam’s need for natural remedies for psoriasis. It rebranded in 2022 with a new packaging design.
Seaweed Bath Co CEO Tim Schaeffer said the acquisition of Mineral Fusion and Andalou Naturals, based on fruit stem cell science, creates an opportunity to streamline product innovation and increase efficiencies to meet consumer and retail needs.
All three brands are available nationwide at Whole Foods Market, Amazon, Sprouts Farmers Market, Natural Grocers and others.
