Jean Paul Gaultier (JPG) currently reigns supreme with an average of 56.5K monthly searches and a +149.6% growth in searches compared to last year. While many of the searches are for Jean Paul Gaultier cologne and Ultra Male cologne, substantial queries is for Jean Paul Gaultier women’s perfume. Analysts say consumers are interested in highly gendered products, which is surprising in a market where unisex fragrances are becoming more commonplace.

Laura Mercier is another beauty brand have a good year. The cosmetics brands turned skincare turned fragrance currently has an average of 2.7K monthly searches and a +97.1% growth in searches compared to last year. Consumers are drawn to Laura Mercier’s Vanille perfume as reflected in high searches volumes. Analysts say consumers are searching for more traditional, i.e., basic scents like vanilla, coconut and bergamot. Analysts encourage fragrance brands to spotlight one standout product.
