Zirh Holdings and Jafra Cosmetics Form Partnership

Zirh Holdings, a manufacturer of men’s skin care and fragrance products, has signed a long-term development and distribution agreement with direct sales company Jafra Cosmetics.  Under terms of the agreement, Zirh will create exclusive skin care and fragrance products for sale within the Jafra sales network.

“Zirh is a brand that enjoys a unique position in the men’s market. Our company has proven that its development and marketing resources produce high-quality and compelling skin care and fragrance products,” said Brian Robinson, president, Zirh Holdings LLC.

“Jafra’s established network of over 500,000 beauty consultants worldwide not only allows Zirh to substantially increase its sales through an alternative, profitable channel, but exposes our product to consumers who may not have had the opportunity to previously try them,” added Mr. Robinson.

“We are very excited about our agreement with Zirh Holdings LLC,” said Janice Jackson, global VP of marketing and strategic Planning.  “Zirh has an excellent reputation for quality and they clearly have mastery in terms of understanding the men’s market. Jafra is implementing substantial resources around increasing brand presence and impact in the US.  This agreement, and the forthcoming offerings created out of it, will further that initiative.”

The first line of Zirh products to be made available exclusively through the Jafra network will consist of eight skin care SKUs.  The skin care line will launch internationally in July 2009 while the U.S. will launch the line in August 2009. “This exclusive line will be developed in collaboration with Jafra R&D,” said Pragna Chakravarti, CSO/VP worldwide research & development, Jafra Cosmetics.

As part of the new initiative, Zirh recently hired Juan Gomez as Jafra project manager where he will oversee the Jafra project.  For the 10 years prior to joining Zirh, he was with Avon where he held various marketing and product development positions. During his tenure at Avon, Mr. Gomez participated in the development of successful fragrances such as Derek Jeter’s Driven and U by Ungaro.
