One of these technologically advanced products is CHT-BeauSil RE-AMO 919 EM (Gluconamido Amodimethicone (and) Coco Glucoside).  It is the only recycled sugar-modified silicone for hair care in the market and is based on revolutionary recycled polymer technology. 

The sugar modification on the silicone polymer gives unique effects on the hair without the heaviness of classic dimethiconols.  The sugar part and the surfactants are naturally sourced ingredients with natural origin content of 85% according to ISO 16128, and the product contains less than 1.0% virgin synthetic ingredients (Figure 1).

Advantages of CHT Organo-Modified Silicone Waxes

Silicone waxes are alkyl modified polysiloxanes that act more like natural oils and waxes than dimethicones. They have unique physical and chemical properties which lead to their novel and outstanding performance.

In contrast to dimethylsilicone, natural lipids are soluble and compatible with silicone waxes. The alkyl modification improves the compatibility of the silicone polymers with natural lipids and improves their feel and spreadability.

The cetyl modification used in silicone waxes chemically resembles natural oils and helps to enhance the solubility of blends with organic oils. This contributes to significant property enhancements compared to using dimethicone including the added benefit of longer stability (Figure 2).
